Laughter Yoga Workshop
at Spacious Heart Yoga
Saturday 12.12.15 ~ 1-3:30pm
Join me, Saturday, December 12th 1-3:30pm, at Spacious Heart Yoga in downtown Goshen, IN, for the joyful practice of Laughter Yoga. Combining mindful pranayama (breathing techniques) with laughter, students will learn to practice and cultivate space to consciously bring joyfulness, fun and laughter back into their lives.
Just as we must regularly put into practice the skills we use for our jobs, the sports we engage in, the musical instruments we play, the asana we practice on our yoga mats, so to must we consciously practice and create space for the powerful healing that laughter and joy provide us.
During this workshop we will watch the short documentary, Laughology and we will practice movements & breathing techniques combined with conscious laughter. No experience with yoga or laughter necessary.
Please bring a water bottle and wear comfortable clothes that you can easily move around in. You may also choose to bring a light snack, if you like. You can bring your own mat if you choose or use one of ours and there will be chairs for those who would like them.

Join Yoga Teacher Sheri Bontrager to give thanks and share the mindfulness of practice Thanksgiving morning. The class is free but we ask that you bring a donation of canned food or monetary donation that will go to a local charity. To submit your choice of charity organization, stop by the studio and enter the name of the charity.
With all the hoopla of the Holiday’s it’s a perfect way to keep centered and mindful. So put the turkey in the oven and get yourself down to Spacious Heart Yoga for class!
Monthly Meditation is Saturday October 25th, 10:30am-12:30 and will be held at Pathways Retreat in Goshen, Indiana. With 14 acres of trails and two labyrinths, we’ll be practice both a free style walking meditation as well as a labyrinth walk.
We won’t be meeting at Spacious Heart in Goshen. We’ll meet directly at Pathways Retreat (309 Hackett Rd, Goshen IN) and workshop begins promptly at 10:30am. Parking is limited so carpooling is highly recommended. If you haven’t registered yet, you can register by clicking HERE.

for my Hands ~ Heart ~ Feet Workshop
*Pranayama– breathing techniques to energize as well as soothe
*Mantras– using sound to clear and balance internal vibration
*Mudras– activating pressure points to both stimulate & calm energy centers
*Asana– physical postures to strengthen/challenge & postures to release/restore
*Meditation– stilling the body & observing the internal experience
*Yoga Nidra– guided practice of deep yogic sleep to reconnect to the deeper sense of self
This 3 hour Workshop will offer students the opportunity to integrate yogic practices to serve them ON and OFF the mat. There will be some vigorous asana and students attending should be well-versed in foundational yoga postures as well as be able to safely engage in a challenging practice for at least one hour.
In addition to asana, this workshop will include introductory level practices of Mantras, Mudras, Pranayama, Meditation and Yoga Nidra so that students may begin cultivating a more encompassing practice of mindfulness to take off the mat, into the world.

Starting May 2014, Wednesdays at 4:15 at Spacious Heart Yoga in Goshen, IN– I’ll be teaching a Restorative Yoga Class. Restorative is super duper gentle and perfect for those who are healing from injuries, those experiencing chronic stress and also those who seek to balance their more vigorous practices with a softer practice.
Restorative Yoga is all about unraveling the body & mind through gentle nurturing & lots of restorative adjustments. Using props to help the body to release tension and allow muscle to soften, this class is suited for anyone looking to de-stress and nurture themselves. The class will end in a guided Yoga Nidra (deep yogic sleep) practice to allow for the benefits of deep restoration.
A softer, quieter class like Restorative is important when developing and maintaining a regular yoga practice. Balancing your more vigorous or challenging practices with a restorative practice each week can not only help your practice on the mat be more balanced, but also remind you to practice the necessary balance of yin and yang off the mat too.

Join me at Spacious Heart Yoga in Goshen, IN for Monthly Meditations. These Monthly Meditation Workshops offer students the opportunity to learn and practice various meditation styles to cultivate a regular home practice or to support an already established practice. Each month we will explore various styles of meditation, including: Yoga Nidra, Mantra/Japa Mala, Guided, Walking, Vipassana/Mindfulness & more.
No experience is necessary. Wear comfortable clothes. Please do not eat an overly large meal before sessions. Chairs will be available for those who are not able to sit on the floor.
