Dawn Smith is a 200hr Certified Yoga Teacher. She currently teaches at the Savannah Yoga Center and the Yoga Co-Op in Savannah, GA as well as develops and facilitates workshops & retreats. She previously taught for Youth Yoga Initiative, Inc. a non-profit organization that brought yoga to Savannah public schools. She teaches Yoga to all ages and abilities. Dawn is certified as a Yoga Ed. Inc. K-8th Instructor, Tools for Teachers Instructor and Mind-Body Resources for at Risk Youth and Adults Instructor.

Dawn’s classes emphasize mindfulness in tandem with the physical practice of yoga. Her classes provide a space to challenge, nourish and enjoy the body, mind and spirit. Her emphasis is offering the opportunity for students to be present and inquisitive about their lives. From her own experience, Dawn offers tools to uncover the blocks and walls that keep us from living open and expansive lives. And for good measure, you’ll find a healthy dose of laughter and light-heartedness tossed in there too!

Dawn is a non-denominational, ordained minister and can legally perform marriage ceremonies in all 50 states. She performs ceremonies for those who want a spiritual wedding service without religious affiliations. Honoring all sincere unions: interfaith, same-sex, inter-racial… all unions that are held to be sacred between two people, are sacred to her as well.  Dawn will also perform Celebration of Life services to honor those who have passed, and other services in which spiritual proceedings are wanted.
